Steel Division

The Steel Mill Division of Fuchs Lubricants Co. has long been recognized as a leader of high performance quality lubricants within the steel industry. We currently service over 55 continuous casters and over 80 steel facilities throughout North America. Part of the worldwide Fuchs group of companies, the largest independent manufacturer of specialty lubricants in the world, we can provide or develop the best lubricant for our customers’ application. Steel Mill Division personnel focus solely on the unique needs and applications of the steel industry. The development and design of each product must meet our high standards when tested under heat and water conditions.

Aluminum Complex Greases

Our Plexalene and Superplex series of aluminum complex greases are industry tested and successfully handle the extreme temperatures and water condition present in most steel facilities. In addition these greases are developed to be REVERSIBLE enabling the product to remain in the application when the heat source is removed, which may result in reduced consumption, dependent on the application.

Lithium Complex Greases

Our Superlith Series of lithium complex greases feature the high base oil viscosities that many bearing manufacturers recommend for use in high loading applications. These insure the optimum film thickness on the bearings and respective elements.

Coupling Greases

These greases are designed to adhere to couplings under severe centrifugal force applications.

Calcium Sulfonate Greases

Fuchs’ CXSSMG Series of greases work extremely well in acidic and hard water application of the mills, as well as bag house fan bearings.

Casting Fluids

Our Renolin Cast products are designed to reduce smoking while providing the necessary lubricity to prevent the molten metal from adhering to the caster segments while being formed.

Crane Gear Box Lubricants

LSTO and Klingfast (KF) Series of products work extremely well in overhead gear box applications. The LSTO Series is a thixotropic synthetic lithium based product. The Klingfast Series (KF) of products are asphaltic based products.

Pre Lubes

Our prelubes have been approved for use on General Motors, Daimler Chrysler and BMW coils being prepared for stamping.
