New engine oil specification for SCANIA

In order to meet the requirements of modern Euro 6 engines and their gas after-treatment systems, SCANIA has developed a new specification for engine oil which allows the life of the diesel particulate filter to be doubled compared to the specification SCANIA LDF-3, with a maximum oil change interval of 120,000 km. The SCANIA LDF-4 specification is applied in the factory filling for Euro 6 vehicles and is approved for D13 and D9 engines from Euro 1 to Euro 6 as well as for Gas engines. Products that meet SCANIA LDF-4 standards can be used on virtually all SCANIA vehicles. Only V8 engines are excluded, for which the previous specifications (SCANIA LDF-3 and SCANIA LA) remain valid. With our exclusive XTL technology, we have been able to combine the longest change intervals, optimum wear protection and maximum protection of after-treatment systems in our TITAN CARGO MAXX SAE 5W-30. Our product is therefore one of the first to obtain SCANIA LDF-4 approval.
