FUCHS participates in the conference organised by Cárnica Magazine

On 27 February, Cárnica Magazine held a technical conference entitled “New challenges for the food industry in terms of lubrication in light of the BRC and IFS standards”.

The conference, focused on manufacturers of equipment for the meat sector, was held in Girona and had Raúl Colombo as speaker, who is Product Manager of Food-Grade Lubricants at FUCHS and advises Bureau Veritas on such issues.

During the conference, issues were discussed that are especially relevant for this industry, which must face the new food safety regulations that are increasingly required by large supermarket chains. It was stressed that for a lubricant to be food grade and comply with BRC and IFS standards it must have two certificates: NSF or INS for the formula and ISO 21469 for the plant where it is manufactured.

Lubricant suppliers with these food safety certifications will enjoy a significant competitive advantage over others.
