We are pleased to inform you about the introduction of our new engine oil TITAN GT1 PRO 2290 SAE 5W-30.

General Information

The specification PSA B71 2290 has been revised to counteract the phenomenon of Low Speed Pre-Ignition
(LSPI). This is a combustion that takes place before the planned ignition spark and therefore can cause engine
damages due to high pressure peaks in the combustion chamber. LSPI occurs by chance, but mostly during high
torque requirements in the low speed range and associated high charge pressure. For the driver, this is reflected
in metallic knocking events and short-term power loss.

Important: The previous version of the specification PSA B71 2290 is obsolete and has been replaced by a new
version. Only engine oils according to the new version offer sufficient protection against LSPI. When using engine
oils according to the old version, engine damage may occur!  Unfortunately, the specifications have the same
name. However, we only claim the new version since the publication of the delivery program 01/2019. 

Product Profile and Applications

Our new TITAN GT1 PRO 2290 SAE 5W-30 has been especially developed for the PSA Gasoline and Diesel
engines up to Euro 5 requiring a lubricant according to the specification PSA B71 2290. The ingenious combination
of high-quality base oils and selected premium additives effectively counteracts LSPI and also provides excellent
wear protection. Additionally, TITAN GT1 PRO 2290 SAE 5W-30 is applicable for lots of vehicles of Asian manu-
factures, Fiat and IVECO Daily through the fulfillment of ACEA C2 specifications.

TITAN GT1 PRO 2290 SAE 5W-30 offers a maximum degree of oxidation stability. With the modern Low SAPS additive technology, it also protects exhaust aftertreatment systems and extends their lifetime. TITAN GT1 PRO 2290 SAE 5W-30 also offers the following advantages:

Attention: TITAN GT1 PRO 2290 SAE 5W-30 is the direct successor of TITAN GT1 PRO C-2 SAE 5W-30 and is
therefore suitable for the same applications. Thus, TITAN GT1 PRO C-2 SAE 5W-30 will not be continued in the
future. For applications according to ACEA C2, our TITAN GT1 FLEX 23 SAE 5W-30 can also be used as an
alternative.
