Description
GLEITMO 599 is an innovative special lubricant based on a special perfluoropolyether base oil which is thickened with a special combination of white solid lubricants. The special feature of GLEITMO 599 is a previously not known resistance to gaseous and liquid oxygen.
Field of application
GLEITMO 599 has been developed for the first lubrication and maintenance of valves for oxygen pressure bottles as well as for the fittings and equipment of the oxygen-generating and oxygen-processing industries. The tested oxygen pressures reach 400 bar min. (at an oxygen temperature of 60°C). Thus this lubricant can even be used to safely and reliably lubricate for example modern valves in the high pressure range. The exactly allowed oxygen pressure is specified for each batch in the respective test report according to the applicable standard.
Application
Prior to the application of GLEITMO 599, the parts to be lubricated must be cleaned extremely thoroughly using METABLANC PFPE. It is essential to only use oil and grease-free lubricating equipment made of metal (spatula)! Please also observe our Technical Information on the use of PFPE lubricants.
Note
Do not mix GLEITMO 599 with other lubricants!
