LUBRODAL F 318 H
Circulating lubricant for hot metal-working processes
Performance Features
- can be applied by flooding, flushing or spraying
- de-emulsifies deposits of machine oils and grease
- concentration of lubricant can easily be determined using the refractometer value or by electric conductivity
- reduces friction and therefore forming force
- facilitates removal of workpieces from the die
- does not contain corrosive ingredients
- presents no health risks to operators, and does not damage machinery
Description
LUBRODAL F 318 H is an effective, graphite- and oil-free, water miscible lubricant agent for dies and tools used in hot metalworking processes.
LUBRODAL F 318 H can be diluted with tap water as required. The diluted solutions are stable and guarantee that high-speed-forging machines operate cleanly and cost-effectively.
Method of application
In comparison to other lubricants, LUBRODAL F 318 H has various advantages with regards to operating hygiene and environmental protection. The areas surrounding forging machinery are to be kept clean. The reddish pigment used in LUBRODAL F 318 H means that leaks are easy to spot.
Before use, LUBRODAL F 318 H must be diluted with tap water in order to achieve the correct concentration required by the specific operation. Its high degree of solubility means that mixing machines are not required.
Dilution guidelines for horizontal forging machines with circulating lubricant systems:
complex parts: 2-5 parts water, 1 part LUBRODAL F 318 H
Standard forging operations: 5-8 parts water, 1 part LUBRODAL F 318 H
Simple parts: 8-20 parts water, 1 part LUBRODAL F 318 H
The optimum dilution ratio has to be determined in practise.
Note
Aerating the storage tank with a continuous flow of atmospheric oxygen improves microbial protection for the working solution and dramatically reduces the amount of preservatives used to maintain the condition of the bath.
