Description

MOLYPAUL 919 is a pasty, refractory solid lubricant for the surface coating of ceramic, refractory materials especially for flow control in the iron, steel and refractory industry. After its application MOLYPAUL 919 forms a high-temperature resistant dry film with a high abrasion resistance.MOLYPAUL 919 contains a combination of solids and a special additive package reducing the graphite oxidation at high temperatures. MOLYPAUL 919 is free of mineral oil. It does not release any fumes when heated and is harmless in use.

Field of application

MOLYPAUL 919 reduces the surface porosity and increases the service life of refractory ceramics. MOLYPAUL 919 adjusts surface imperfections and enhances the sliding behavior of the ceramic slide plates used in mechanical sliding valve systems. The intake of oxygen from the air during the casting process is suppressed; the wear behavior of the ceramic surface is improved. MOLYPAUL 919 is suitable for the use on any ce-ramic product version and combination.

Method of application

MOLYPAUL 919 is to be applied onto dirt and dustfree surfaces by brush, sponge or roller.
