GLEITMO 830

White solid lubricant paste for cold forming

Performance Features

  • temperature range: -25 / +100 °C
  • proved to be reliable for most demanding requirements in stamping, drawing, strech-forming, bending, rolling and profile-forming
  • suitable for highly different materials, such as steels of austenic and ferritic structures, Copper, Aluminium, Zinc and their alloys
  • prevents the transfer of material to the tools (welding-up tendency) and reduces wear due to its high lubricating qualities
  • is not recommended for work-pieces intended to be electro-plated or painted after forming

Description

GLEITMO 830 is a well brushable light-coloured paste, based on a special mineral oil containing a synergistic combination of GLEITMO White Solid Lubricants. Its resistance to extreme pressure and good release properties will render good results in cold-forming processes where oils and greases are no longer sufficient. The high efficiency of GLEITMO 830 is to a far extent independent of of the materials grades used.

Field of application

GLEITMO 830 can be used in cold forming processes where commonly used lubricants are not satisfactory.

Method of application

GLEITMO 830 is normally applied in undiluted condition. Depending on the process involved, the lubricant can be applied to the tool or the material. Suitable means of application are stiff brushes, cloths and sponges. Adjustment to a softer consistency is possible by dilu-tion with mineral oil, although this may cause a drop in efficiency.
