TITAN SYN SP SAE 0W-16 - extremely low-viscosity engine oil

The development of modern, increasingly low-viscosity engine oils to achieve the lowest possible fuel consumption and an associated significant reduction in pollutant emissions has been a continuing trend in the field of lubricant development for many years.

The specifications of TITAN SYN SP SAE 0W-16 are aimed at precisely these increased fuel economy requirements and are primarily required for vehicle models from Asian car manufacturers.

Product Profile and Application

Whereas products in the SAE 0W-30 range were previously known as low-viscosity engine oils and later SAE 5W-20 and SAE 0W-20, TITAN SYN SP SAE 0W-16 now adds a new and further reduced viscosity grade to our portfolio.

TITAN SYN SP SAE 0W-16 is suitable as an ultra high performance engine oil for many modern hybrid and gasoline vehicles, especially from Asian car manufacturers. Due to the lowered viscosity, TITAN SYN SP SAE 0W-16 qualifies as a BluEV Technology product and is used in vehicles with the corresponding OEM filling instructions, such as in the latest models of the TOYOTA Prius, Aygo, Camry, Corolla, Yaris Cross but also in SUZUKI Vitara and LEXUS NX.

As an extension of the TITAN SYN SP Range, it meets state-of-the-art engine oil specifications such as API SP RC (Resource Conserving) and ILSAC GF-6B, the latter of which is exclusively for viscosity grades below SAE 0W-20 and is not backward compatible.

As a modern low-viscosity engine oil, TITAN SYN SP SAE 0W-16 provides a high fuel-saving potential and also offers very good protection of modern exhaust aftertreatment systems and turbochargers.
