TITAN GT1 FLEX 5 SAE 0W-20 - Engine Oil with FORD Specification
General Information
The FORD WSS-M2C954-A1 specification was introduced particularly in the latest FORD 1.0L EcoBoost engines used in vehicles such as the Ford Puma. Towards the end of April 2024, FORD officially extended this oil specification to cover not only the 1.0L but the 1.5L EcoBoost as well as some 2.5L Duratec-Hybrid engine applications.
Back in July 2024 we announced the recommendation of our TITAN GT1 FLEX 5 SAE 0W-20 against the FORD WSS-M2C954-A1 SAE 0W-20 engine oil specification. However, we didn’t stop working towards bettering that status.
Due to additional testing performed and the positive results achieved, with the specific target of satisfying the extensive requirements of this specification, in particular the compatibility of the oil with the timing belts which run in the oil, it is now possible for us to recommend our TITAN GT1 FLEX 5 SAE 0W-20 for applications requiring FORD WSS-M2C954-A1 SAE 0W-20 engine oil.
The remaining tests required by the FORD WSS-M2C954-A1 SAE 0W-20 engine oil have in the meantime also been successfully completed and therefore, as we now have the dataset to prove we fulfill all the requirements, we have now shifted the FORD WSS-M2C954-A1 SAE 0W-20 from Recommendations to Specifications.

With the addition of the FORD WSS-M2C954-A1 to our TITAN GT1 FLEX 5 SAE 0W-20 it further extends an already strong performance profile and can help to support product consolidation, especially where FORD vehicles are of particular interest.
Additionally, FORD WSS-M2C954-A1 is backwards compatible to the WSS-M2C948-B specification furthering the opportunity to consolidate to TITAN GT1 FLEX 5 SAE 0W-20.
