FUCHS Lubricants Wind Power Industry Technology Conference was held successfully in Wujiang
On July 20, 2023, FUCHS Lubricants Wind Power Industry Technology Conference was held in Wujiang, Suzhou with the theme of "MOVING YOUR WORLD by powering towards a better future". The meeting brought together more than 140 people, including representatives from industry associations and customers and FUCHS colleagues, who exchanged views on the wind power industry, gaining insights into the industry and relevant lubrication solutions from FUCHS.

The tone of the meeting was set by two speeches of Qi Hesheng, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of Wind Power Machinery Branch of China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, and Zhu Qingping, member of FUCHS Group Management Committee & CEO of FUCHS China. In his address, Secretary General Qi explained with data from a perspective of the entire industry that as the energy revolution deepens, China's wind power industry has entered a new stage of large-scale, high-quality development, facing both opportunities and challenges.
Mr. Zhu Qingping described FUCHS China's continuous strategic efforts in the wind powder industry, showing desire and confidence in facilitating customer success and industry development with our technical advantages.
Creating strong lubrication solutions for the industry
Through evolving R&D capabilities and production strengths
An introduction to FUCHS Asia Pacific Technology Center by Dr. Shi Yi, Senior R&D Manager of FUCHS China demonstrated local R&D strengths and ability to provide sustainable, customized and responsive solutions for customers. Kris Van Gasse, CTO of FUCHS China, hosted the launch of MEi® Technology Platform, announcing that the company will leverage digital tools to optimize product performance and production processes through advanced molecular engineering, empowering customers in the wind power industry.
The new "3C" grease plant in Yingkou, talked about by Hu Bin, Senior Manager of Business Development for Greases at FUCHS China, is taking FUCHS's local production capabilities one step further. With the primary goal of achieving localized production of imported greases, the plant provides customers with products of the same quality and performance while allowing for customized, end-to-end flexible solutions.
Strong R&D and production capabilities enable FUCHS to provide a full range of strong lubrication solutions for the wind power industry. Mr. Zhou Yinghui, Technical Director of Wind Power at FUCHS China, presented specialized solutions for pitch bearings, main bearings, main gearboxes, pitch and yaw teeth, engine bearings and other key applications that meet their working conditions and lubrication requirements, and perform better than competitor products and beyond customers' expectations.

Highlighting FUCHS's benefits
Han Bo, a technical expert in bearing lubrication from bearing manufacturer Svenska Kullager-Fabriken (SKF), used an example of main bearings for wind power to describe end customers' increasing requirements for bearings that posed new challenges to lubrication. SKF hopes to cooperate with FUCHS on the development of lubrication solutions that address the pain points of end customers. FUCHS's main bearing greases, highlighted by Tristan Rahm, a technical expert from FUCHS Germany, are the company's perfect solution to the new lubrication challenges for main bearings for wind power.
Mr. Chen Chao, Application Manager of FUCHS China, and Mr. Heiko Geyer, Business Development Manager of FUCHS Germany, shared more practical customer cases, showing how FUCHS's family of wind power products help customers to solve lubrication pain points in the operation of wind farms such as frequent oil changes, sludge deposition and tooth rusting, enabling more efficient operation, easier maintenance and shorter downtimes of wind turbines.
This technical meeting serves as a platform for promoting mutual understanding and win-win cooperation among the stakeholders in the wind power industry. At the meeting, technical experts from FUCHS Group and FUCHS China as well as Secretary General Mr. Qi Hesheng had an open discussion on the hot topics of interest to guests including China's wind power industry going abroad and MEi® family of products for wind power, providing deeper insights into the industry.
During communication with OEMs and parts manufacturers, FUCHS has not only delivered concrete solutions, but expressed a strong will to "help customers to succeed".
