ANTICORIT VCI P
Anti-corrosion papers for iron, steel and non-ferrous metals
Description
ANTICORIT VCI P is a range of anti-corrosion papers suitable for packing iron, steel, copper, brass, bronze, aluminium, tin and other materials. ANTICORIT VCI P products do not leave oily residues on the metal surface. Protected parts can usually be processed without an additional cleaning process after storage and shipping. Typical applications include the protection of electronic components, fuel systems, half finished goods, enginge components, and others. When applied properly, ANTICORIT VCI P is capable of protection parts up to 24 months.
Application
The parts to be protected must be clean and free from fingerprints and other residues. Packaging must be done thoroughly – package must be closed to keep the corrosion inhibitors inside the package. However it is not necessary to seal the package airtight. The distance between ANTICORIT VCI P and the metal surface should be as low as possible. We recommend not to exceed distances of 30 cm between the VCI product and the metal surface. When bulk or stacked items are packed, e.g. screws, ANTICORIT VCI P sheets can be used as an intermediate layer to increase corrosion protection. Return unused ANTICORIT VCI P into the original packaging to avoid VCI agents to be lost to air draughts when ANTICORIT VCI P is stored.
