Description

CASSIDA GREASE FC 1 and 2 are high performance high temperature greases specially developed for the lubrication of bearings and seals working at extreme running temperatures or in aggressive environments, and in filled for life equipments in food and beverage processing machinery.
They are based on a very stable synthetic thickener and base fluids with carefully selected additives chosen for their ability to meet the stringent requirements of the food industry at elevated temperatures.
Registered by NSF (Class H1) for use where there is potential for incidental food contact. Produced according to FLT Quality Standards, in facilities where HACCP audit and Good Manufacturing Practice have been implemented and form part of the quality and hygiene management systems ISO 9001 and ISO 21469.

Applications

• Lubrication where components might be exposed to reactive chemicals and gases i.e. carbonic, citric and acetic acids, vinegar concentrate, sodium and potassium hydroxides, acid or alkaline cleaners, bleaching agents, etc.
• Plain and rolling element bearings.
• Miniature bearings and precision instruments.
• Joints, linkages and mechanical seals.
• Lubrication of plastic and rubber components where excellent elastomer compatibility is required.
• Bearings and seals exposed to alcohols, ketones and organic solvents.

General Instructions

DO NOT expose to temperatures higher than +300 °C.
CASSIDA GREASE FC is not soluble in water and most petroleum based or commonly used organic solvents (hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers, esters, etc.). It is soluble in highly fluorinated organic solvents. Perfluoro-octane is recommended solvent for cleaning surfaces lubricated with CASSIDA GREASE FC.

Seal and Paint Compatibility

Compatible with EPDM and other elastomers, gaskets, seals and paints normally used in food machinery lubrication systems.

Handling and Storage

All food grade lubricants should be stored separately from other lubricants, chemical substances and foodstuffs and out of direct sunlight or other heat sources. Store between 0 °C and +40 °C. Provided that the product has been stored under these conditions we recommend that the product be used within 3 years from the date of manufacture. Upon opening a pack, the product must be used within 2 years (or within 3 years of date of manufacture, whichever is the sooner).
