LUBRODAL F 25 PLE

Water miscible, high performance die lubricant

Performance Features

  • contains pure, finely ground graphite
  • creates a cohesive film
  • optimum wetting of tools, even at high temperatures
  • improves shaping and reduces forming force
  • excellent cooling effects
  • effective in complex forming operations, e.g. precision forging
  • produces little smoke

Description

LUBRODAL F 25 PLE is a water miscible lubricant for dies and tools used in the hot forming of steel. It adheres well to tool surfaces and forms a dry release film of finest graphite.
LUBRODAL F 25 PLE greatly improves metal flow and surface finish and increases the tool life. Special additives and a high percentage of fine particles ensure a separating film even at extremely high die temperatures.

Method of application

LUBRODAL F 25 PLE is a stable, flowable concentrate which is diluted with water prior to use. The dilution ratio depends on:
the shape, weight and material of the forged piece
s, the cycle and contact time, as well as the difficulty of the forming operation.

Guidelines for dilution

Hot forging operations with complex parts: 1 part LUBRODAL F 25 PLE with 3 to 10 parts water
Standard forging operations: 1 part LUBRODAL F 25 PLE with 5 to 15 parts water
Simple parts: 1 part LUBRODAL F 25 PLE with 10 to 20 parts water

Application

LUBRODAL F 25 PLE can be applied with hand spray guns, static and automatic spraying equipment. To achieve an effective, even coverage, use a spray with an adjustable nozzle and adjust the air-liquid ratio. The diluted product must be kept in continous motion either by a stirrer or circulation pump to avoid sedimentation. The equipment should be cleaned regularly (once a week) and prior to longer downtimes by flushing with water.
