Description

LUBRODAL is water-based graphitic lubricant for use in the hot and warm forging of steel and exotic metal alloys. LUBRODAL F 475 E is intended for use as a die lubricant for precision and net shape hot forgings. LUBRODAL F 475 E is formulated with high-purity fine particle size colloidal graphite and other additives to provide excellent tool coverage, good wetting on hot tool surfaces, good metal movement and superior re-lease. LUBRODAL F 475 E has excellent high tempera-ture wetting characteristics. Proper application of LUBRODAL F 475 E will yield a thin protective lubricating film.
LUBRODAL F 475 E is a versatile forging lubricant for use with a broad spectrum of shapes (complex or simple), sizes and weights of billets

Method of application

LUBRODAL F 475 E is sold as a concentrate.
For most applications LIBRODAL F 475 E is diluted with water to achieve the correct concentration for a specific forging operation. Prior to dilution LUBRODAL F 475 E should be mixed to uniformity.
Guidelines for dilution:
Complicated pieces involving difficult operations: 2-5 parts water to 1 part LUBRODAL F 475 E
Standard forging operations: 10 parts water to 1 part LUBRODAL F 475 E
The optimum dilution ratio has to be determined in practise.

Note

To avoid contamination reseal containers after mixing.
To avoid sedimentation, diluted product must be constantly agitated.
