Description
LUBRODAL F 53/40 is a water miscible die lubricant for the warm forging of steel. It is free of graphite, shows excellent releasing-, lubricating- and propulsive effects and forms a dry, adhesive, salt-like releasing film of high lubricity upon the engraved surfaces after application.
Field of application
LUBRODAL F 53/40 is used for warm forging of steel, in particular if graphite containing die lubricants cannot be used due to hygienic reasons.
Method of application
LUBRODAL F 53/40 is a concentrate and must be diluted with water, whilst stirring, before application. It can be applied via suitable spraying systems or by spray pistols. A strong spray jet with adjustable throughputs of the nozzles as well as an adjustable air-fluid ratio are required.
Note
Standard values for the dilution of LUBRODAL F 53/40 with water:
Difficult transformations : 1 : 5 - 10
Transformations of average difficulty : 1 : 10 – 20
Simple transformations : 1 : 20 – 40
The optimal ratio of dilution has to be determined in practice.
The working fluid does not need to be stirred.
