ANTICORIT VCI FOAM

Anti-corrosion foam for iron, steel and non-ferrous metals

Description

ANTICORIT VCI FOAM is a cream-colored foam impregnated with a combination of VCI inhibitors for the protection of iron, steel, copper and other metals.  ANTICORIT VCI FOAM foams combine very good cushioning properties with excellent corrosion protection and good mechanical properties. The VCI inhibitors contained in the foam change into the vapor phase in the packaging and thus also reach hard-to-reach areas such as drill holes and folds. High-quality parts, spare parts, electrical and electronic components and laboratory equipment are protected, as are machines of all kinds. Due to the open-pored nature of the foam, it is possible to incorporate high quantities of VCI active ingredients into the foam to provide excellent corrosion protection.

Application

ANTICORIT VCI FOAM foams are placed in the outer packaging together with the parts to be protected. The parts to be protected must be clean and free of fingerprints and other residues. The duration of protection depends on the tightness of the outer packaging, so keep it as tightly closed as possible. However, airtight However, airtight sealing is not necessary. Keep the distance between the foam and the metal as small as possible (up to max. 30 cm). For bulk packaging, e.g. stacked metal sheets, bulk goods and small parts, add additional layers of ANTICORIT VCI FOAM foams as intermediate layers. If work with the ANTICORIT VCI FOAM foam is interrupted, protect the blanks from high humidity, heat and draughts.
