Liquid vapor phase corrosion protection for contact-free packaging solutions
Description
ANTICORIT VCI FE 310 IP is a vanishing anti-corrosion fluid based on vapour phase corrosion inhibitors (VCI) diluted in an isoparaffin. In a closed system the protective VCI inhibitors evaporate quickly and protect the goods inside for a long period of time. ANTICORIT VCI FE 310 IP protects iron and steel through the vapour phase. It leaves an imperceptible protective film on steel surfaces. There is no need for direct contact between the fluid and the metal surface. ANTICORIT VCI FE 310 IP produces a weak alkaline atmosphere and a monomolecular VCI film remains on the metal surface. This ensures reliable corrosion protection in an airtight packaging system. ANTICORIT VCI FE 310 IP does not contain nitrite, secondary amines or other toxic chemicals. It complies with the German TRGS 615.
Application
ANTICORIT VCI FE 310 IP can be added inside the packaging or closable cavities. Coating of the parts is not required. Depending on the protection time and the tightness of the packaging, approx. 300ml of ANTICORIT VCI FE 310 IP per m³ are sufficient. Parts protected by ANTICORIT VCI FE 310 IP can be stored for several years, if parts are prepared adequately and a suitable and dense packaging is used.
