Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) is a modern method for lubricating and cooling machining processes. Instead of using large amounts of coolant, only a precisely dosed quantity is applied directly to the cutting zone, either as an oil-air mixture or in the form of fine droplets. This reduces frictional heat, ensures process reliability, and keeps workpieces almost dry. MQL lowers costs, reduces cleaning effort, and protects the environment.
