Personal Data Protection in Recruitment
1. Data Controller Information

FUCHS Oil Hungária Kft. processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the applicable Hungarian data protection legislation.
2. Purpose of Data Processing
FUCHS Oil Hungária Kft. processes personal data provided during the recruitment process for the following purposes:
- receiving and registering applications;
- assessing applicants’ professional qualifications and suitability;
- organizing and conducting interviews;
- maintaining communication with applicants;
- documenting the recruitment and selection process;
- preparing an employment contract for the selected candidate;
- protecting the legitimate interests of the Company in the event of potential legal claims or disputes.
3. Categories of Personal Data Processed
The processing of personal data may include, in particular:
- name;
- telephone number;
- e-mail address;
- residential or mailing address;
- information contained in the applicant’s CV/résumé;
- educational background and qualifications;
- professional experience;
- language skills;
- information provided in the motivation letter/cover letter;
- details of referees or references (if provided by the applicant);
- professional evaluations and interview notes recorded during the selection process.
FUCHS Oil Hungária Kft. does not request and, where possible, does not process special categories of personal data (e.g. health data or information concerning religious or political beliefs). Should such information nevertheless be included in the applicant’s CV or other submitted documents, it will only be processed to the extent permitted by applicable law.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
a) Evaluation of Applications and Conducting the Recruitment Process
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – processing is necessary in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into an employment contract.
b) Documentation of the Recruitment Process and Handling Legal Claims
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Data Controller.
c) Retention of the Applicant’s CV for Future Employment Opportunities
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – the data subject’s consent.
5. Source of Personal Data
Personal data is primarily provided directly by the applicant through:
- e-mail;
- job portals and recruitment websites;
- LinkedIn or other professional networking platforms;
- personal submission;
- recruitment agencies or employment intermediaries.
6. Recipients of Personal Data
Applicants’ personal data may only be accessed by employees who are involved in the recruitment and selection process as part of their job responsibilities.
Personal data may be accessed by:
- employees carrying out HR functions;
- the manager responsible for the position concerned;
- the Company’s management;
- external HR consultants or recruitment partners, where applicable.
The Data Controller does not disclose personal data to third parties unless required by law.
7. Retention Period
Unsuccessful Applications
Personal data of unsuccessful applicants will be retained for a maximum period of 6 months following the completion of the recruitment process based on the Company’s legitimate interest.
Retention Based on Consent
Where the applicant consents to the processing of their data for future employment opportunities, the data will be retained for a maximum period of 12 months from the date consent is given.
Successful Applications
Personal data of the selected candidate will become part of the employee personnel records upon establishment of the employment relationship.
8. Data Security
FUCHS Oil Hungária Kft. implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including in particular:
- preventing unauthorized access;
- preventing data loss;
- ensuring data integrity;
- maintaining adequate protection of electronic systems.
9. Rights of the Data Subject
Applicants are entitled to:
- request information regarding the processing of their personal data;
- request access to their personal data;
- request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of their personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on the Data Controller’s legitimate interests;
- exercise their right to data portability where applicable;
- withdraw their consent at any time.
10. Remedies and Complaints
Applicants may contact the Data Controller with any questions or complaints concerning the processing of their personal data.

11. Final Provisions
FUCHS Oil Hungária Kft. reserves the right to amend this Privacy Notice at any time. The current version shall be published on the Company's careers website and made available to applicants by appropriate means.
