RENOLIN ZAF 150 BB
Description
In all industrial gear oils nowadays additives are used which prevent the direct metallic contact between the contact areas of the gear wheels. Due to the pressure on the tooth flanks and the resulting temperatures as well as the presence of free surface energies, there is a chemical or chemical-physical reaction of the additives with the tooth flanks surface. Due to this, separation layers are formed which protect the tooth flanks from increased wear or even scuffing. However, in various applications in modern high performance machines damages of tooth flanks and bearings occurred, because the reaction time for activating the metal surface was too short or the shear stability of the reaction layer was insufficient. The wear protection additives used in RENOLIN ZAF BB reduce the wear of the machine elements especially in the mixed friction area. They cause an efficient activation of the metal surface so that, also with very low lubricant quantities, a reliable wear protection is guaranteed.
Application
The hydraulic oils of the RENOLIN ZAF BB series are high quality specialities for use as lubricating oils for various applications, e.g. in hydraulics, gears, bearings and circulation systems. RENOLIN ZAF BB is recommended for the use in machine tools and hydraulic presses where a contamination with the metal working fluids may occur or an exceptionally good wear protection is required. The requirements according to DIN 51524-2, HLP, and DIN 51517-3, CLP, are fulfilled or surpassed.
