RENISO R68
Vacuum Pump and Refrigeration Oil
Description
When considering the lubrication of gas compressors, the effect on the lubricant by the type of gas being compressed must be considered. While some gasses have no effect on petroleum products, other such as oxygen, react with them. In such systems, synthetic lubricants should be considered. No general recommendation can be given for the lubrication of refrigeration or gas compressors since it is necessary to consider each case on its own merits.
RENISO R68 is prepared from selected base stocks which have been specially treated to give pure and stable products containing no waxy material which may impair the operation of the refrigeration system. They contain no light fractions which may evaporate in service to leave a heavier fraction which may cause problems at lower temperatures.
RENISO R68 has an extremely low cloud point, ensuring that lines and valves within the system stay clean and clear. As a result of the careful selection
of base stocks and their subsequent treatment, RENISO R68 resists foaming which can cause carry over of oil into the refrigeration system or interfere
with the proper operation of the pump in forced feed systems.
Application
RENISO R68 is recommended for use in compressors used in air conditioning, chilling and refrigeration systems. The selection of the correct
grade is dependent upon the type of service. Specific manufacturer’s recommendations should be consulted prior to selecting the grade.
How to Use
RENISO R68 is used as received without dilution. Your local FUCHS representative can provide you with specific recommendations for your operation. The product should be stored in its original sealed container at temperatures between 7ºC and 32ºC.
