THERMISOL 22

Quenching Oil

Description

THERMISOL 22 quenching oil is based on highly refined, paraffinic base stock providing controlled quenching of low alloy steels where, in order to avoid cracking, quench speeds need to be slower than would be needed for plain carbon steels.

The highly refined low viscosity, low sulfur content base oil ensures excellent quenching characteristics while providing excellent oxidation stability, low volatility and low drag-out losses.

How to Use

THERMISOL 22 is used as received for all quenching operations. Your local FUCHS representative can provide you with specific recommendations for your operation.

Advantages

  • Excellent oxidation stability

  • Superior deposit control

  • Improved hardness with minimum cracking and distortion

  • Promotes deep hardening of parts

How to Clean

Residual films are easily cleaned from parts with RENOCLEAN cleaners.  Your local FUCHS representative can recommend products for such operations.

Storage and Safety

The product should be stored in its original sealed container at temperatures between 7°C (45°F) and 32°C (90°F).
