Quenching Oil
Description
THERMISOL 300 quenching oil is based on highly refined, paraffinic base stock providing general purpose quenching which is also suitable for direct quenching from cyanide salt baths.
The highly refined low viscosity, low sulphur content base oil ensures excellent quenching characteristics while providing excellent oxidation stability, low volatility and low drag-out losses.
Application
Tool steel components: Components for industry generally after carburizing or carbo-nitriding in steel such as EN1a, EN32, EN35, EN36, EN37. Set screws and hardened bolts in EN8, EN9, EN15, EN19, EN111, crankshafts EN8, EN19, EN24, sub-axles EN16. Steering arms EN17.
THERMISOL 300 can be used for accelerated quenching where consistent results are required on low alloy steels. The stable accelerator quench additives present in THERMISOL 300 ensure faster quenching characteristics in the most severe working conditions and imparts a degree of corrosion protection on the finished part.
How to Use
THERMISOL 300 is used as received without dilution. Your local FUCHS representative can provide you with specific recommendations for your operation.
The product should be stored in its original sealed container at temperatures between 7ºC and 32ºC.
