METALUB PL-7105A
Pre-Applied Metal Preservative and Lubricant for Automotive Metalforming
Description
METALUB PL-7105A is an effective pre-applied corrosion preventative and metalforming lubricant for all metals. It is typically applied to automotive stock by the steel mill or the steel processor prior to arrival at the end use site. If desired, it can also be applied in-house by the metal user. METALUB PL-7105A provides superior drawing lubrication for excellent part quality and lower scrap rates. It produces outstanding results on a variety of components including hoods, quarter panels and door liners. METALUB PL-7105A delivers outstanding indoor corrosion protection to safeguard stored base stock and finished parts. It has a non-tacky, firm, oil film so parts remain clean and easy to handle. The film stays soft and does not oxidize so it is easy to clean. METALUB PL-7105A is approved by major US automobile manufacturers.
How to Use
METALUB PL-7105A is used as received without dilution and should be heated to 100-110°F before application. It can be applied by dip, spray or roller coat methods (including electrostatic). Optimum coating weight is 250 - 300 mg/sq.ft.
How to Clean
METALUB PL-7105A films and light residues are readily cleaned from processed parts using mild alkaline cleaner solutions.
