FUCHS China and China Energy Enter a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Lubricant Procurement
The Fifth China International Import Expo opened in Shanghai on 5 November 2022. On the same day, China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) and FUCHS China entered into a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on FUCHS Lubricants Procurement, laying down the foundation for collaboration, with both parties committed to pursuing open and inclusive development opportunities together.
China Energy: Recognizing past collaboration achievements and looking forward to the new journey
Zhou Dayu, Director of Procurement Supervision Department, China Energy, delivered the opening speech at the signing ceremony, in which he reviewed the history of both companies, recognized the FUCHS brand’s strengths, praised the excellent performance of FUCHS products in the coal, thermal power and wind power categories of China Energy, and highlighted the rapid growth in the purchase of FUCHS products by China Energy, indicating strong momentum for continued cooperation. Director Zhou also expressed higher expectations for FUCHS: at a time when the world is undergoing profound changes and the global supply chain facing great challenges, FUCHS, as an excellent lubricant supplier, is expected to help maintain standard production and operation of all lubricant-using units in the Corporation. China Energy continues to view strategic cooperation from a long-term perspective, upholding policy guidelines of long-term stability, future orientation and comprehensive cooperation. Through the execution of this agreement, China Energy demonstrates its willingness to join hands with FUCHS for the sustained, healthy and stable development of their comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.
Wang Shumin, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Manager of China Energy, delivered a speech on behalf of the leadership. He emphasized that China Energy is a pilot enterprise following the reform of state-owned capital investment, a top-notch energy company with global competitiveness, and the world’s largest company in coal mining, thermal power, wind power and coal-to-liquids industry. The establishment of a strategic partnership with FUCHS China is a significant decision. He suggested that both sides should strengthen strategic communication at the leadership level as well as work collaboratively to coordinate daily affairs, tackle regional and global challenges, pursue energy transformation, deepen cooperation, and expand cooperation opportunities.

Wolfgang Mertel, Vice President of FUCHS China Specialties Division delivered a speech on behalf of FUCHS China. After the signing ceremony, representatives from both sides engaged in open, face-to-face dialogue and agreed to take this opportunity to focus on the new development stage, implement the new development concept, further improve long-term cooperation mechanisms and deepen cooperation. Giving full play to their respective strengths, the two companies will advance their comprehensive and multi-level enterprise-community cooperation in traditional energy, new and renewable energy and other industrial chains and fields of technological innovation, so as to contribute to national energy security and carbon peaking and neutrality goals.
