Chairman of Nanxiang FUCHS LUBRICANTS (Shanghai) LTD. was elected "Star of Charity" of Shanghai
On the evening of January 12, the program "Spreading Your Love and Offering Your Help - Favorite Charity Night 2014 under the Blue Sky" was held in the theater of Shanghai Oriental TV. Klaus Hartig -- executive vice president-East of Fuchs Petrolub AG, East Asia Zone, chairman of Fuchs Lubricants Corporate Management (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. and Fuchs Lubricants (China) Co., Ltd. -- was elected the Sixth Shanghai "Star of Charity." He was also the only person so honored in Jiading District.
Mr. Hartig has worked in Nanxiang for 18 years. He is enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings and actively assumes a variety of social responsibilities. He believes that the development of a company and personal success must support all walks of life. Under his advocacy and communication, the "Fuchs Grows with You" program for young athletes and "Fuchs Love" charitable project were launched. In early 2013, he started "Fuchs Love," which focuses on diverse, long-term, public welfare, community-based activities. Mr. Hartig not only has provided financial and material sponsorship but also set up senior and medium leaders to form teams of volunteers to aid those who need help to emotionally and mentally carry out various welfare activities.
Mr. Hartig has often said, “Returning to the people who need our support is our obligation. It makes us very proud and very happy to bring a trace of joy to those who have been less fortunate and are struggling, as well as to bring help to more people.” He actively participated in annual "blue sky beloved" charitable fundraising activities, led families and children in various charitable activities; funded many children from poorer areas of China to receive heart surgery; and annually contributed clothes and toys to children in poor areas of China through the "Heart to Heart" charity. After the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, he took the lead for fundraising within the company on its behalf.
Fuchs Petrolub AG has seen great success in its development in China, and Mr. Hartig returns the company’s love to Shanghai's people year after year. In honor of his outstanding contributions to Shanghai's economic construction and social development, Mr. Hartig received the 2012 Shanghai "Magnolia Memorial Award." He recently won the title of Shanghai "Star of Charity," which also affirms his charitable work.
