FUCHS and SINOPEC Deepen Strategic Cooperation to Establish a New Benchmark for Supply Chain Resilience

On March 12, FUCHS China and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "SINOPEC") officially signed a strategic agreement for deepening supply chain cooperation in Beijing. 

The two parties will establish long-term cooperative relations in the fields of high-end new materials such as Group III base oils and additives. This is not only an important milestone for FUCHS China to implement its "3L" strategy (local R&D, local procurement, and local production), but also a key measure to address global supply chain challenges and enhance resilience.

In recent years, the complex and volatile international situation has impacted the stability of the global supply chain. In response to the national "dual circulation" strategy, FUCHS China has proposed the "3L" strategy, strengthening the independent and controllable capabilities of the supply chain through localized layout.

As a core practice of this strategy, FUCHS procurement and R&D teams have continuously promoted local procurement and local R&D, and carried out in-depth cooperation with leading domestic enterprises. SINOPEC, as a leading enterprise in the entire lubricant industry chain in China, has continuously increased its production capacity of Group III base oils and additives, and its technical strength is leading in the industry, making it an ideal partner for FUCHS.
Against the backdrop of the reconstruction of the global supply chain, FUCHS China, with the "3L" strategy as its anchor point, has not only consolidated its local foundation but also opened up a new path for cooperation and innovation through its deep binding with SINOPEC. In the future, the two parties will promote the development of the lubricant industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green directions through resource integration and complementary advantages. FUCHS China will also make full use of SINOPEC's advantages in technology, production capacity, and the international supply system.
