FUCHS China Attends the 13th Bearing Forum
The 13th Bearing Forum & 2026 Academic Conference on Advanced Bearing Technology was held in Changsha from June 26 to 29, 2026. Focused on the theme “Smart Connected Bearings, Empowering Industry”, the forum hosted in-depth discussions covering industry trends, smart manufacturing upgrades, fundamental research breakthroughs, cutting-edge technology innovation and solutions to key industry bottlenecks.
FUCHS China played a prominent role at the event. Focusing on its high-performance bearing grease portfolio, the team presented a one-stop lubrication solution covering the entire value chain—from bearing manufacturing to end-user applications. Throughout the conference, FUCHS technical specialists engaged in extensive technical exchanges with upstream and downstream partners and industry peers, and also delivered keynote speeches to share their latest technological advancements.
On the morning of June 28, Kris VAN GASSE, CTO of FUCHS China, delivered a keynote presentation titled WEC Problem Situation and Solution Landscape. He presented FUCHS’ research outcomes and tailored lubrication solutions for high-growth, mission-critical applications, such as gear oils and automotive bearings
The presentation systematically outlined application scenarios, formation mechanisms, evaluation methods and targeted countermeasures for premature bearing failures caused by White Etching Cracks (WEC). The presentation tackled key challenges in bearing applications, ranging from wind turbine gearboxes to automotive tensioners and generators. This is strongly aligned with the industry consensus voiced by major bearing manufacturers (e.g., Schaeffler and NSK) and renowned academic institutions.
In the afternoon of June 28, Dr. Bo HAN, Senior Global Application Expert of FUCHS China, presented an invited speech Development of Low-Friction Wheel Bearing Greases at the automotive bearing sub-forum, detailing FUCHS’ R&D progress in low-friction wheel bearings and sealing solutions for passenger and commercial vehicles.
Backed by solid fundamental mechanism research, FUCHS has developed a complete product portfolio that includes low-friction wheel bearing greases, sealing greases, and low-friction solid dry-film coatings.
