Description
LUBRODAL F 3629 is a processed micro-fine graphite dispersion in a water carrier. It has been designed for high temperature ferrous and non-ferrous forgings. With suitable application devices a wetting of dies with very high temperatures is possible. A closed and homogenous dry lubrication film is formed. LUBRODAL F 3629 increases the productivity and reduces costs during hot forging of high alloyed steels and non-ferrous metals.
Method of application
LUBRODAL F 3629 is supplied as a concentrate. Prior to use it can be homogenised by stirring if needed. For the process it needs to be diluted with plain tap water. Stir the concentrate thoroughly and then add the water slowly until the desired dilution level is reached. Once diluted, LUBRODAL F 3629 must be agitated to prevent settling. A recommended starting dilution of LUBRODAL F 3629 would be 1 part concentrate and 5 parts tap water. Spray application is recommended to provide a more uniform coating thickness. If build-up occurs, increase the dilution ratio until an acceptable release continues to occur but without build-up. Ratios of 1:10 and greater are common during some forging operations. The optimum dilution ratio has to be determined in practise.
