RENISO
For over 50 years, FUCHS has been a trusted name in the development and production of RENISO refrigeration oils, consistently setting and refining benchmarks for product quality and manufacturing excellence.
The comprehensive RENISO portfolio includes synthetic lubricants based on POE, PAO, AB, and PAG, as well as selected mineral oils known for their superior low-temperature performance. Whether for traditional HFC refrigerants like R134a, R410A, and R407C, or natural alternatives such as ammonia (NH₃), carbon dioxide (CO₂), and hydrocarbons, FUCHS offers a tailored RENISO solution. The company is also actively testing formulations for emerging HFO refrigerants like R1234ze and R1234yf, along with their blends, in its advanced R&D facilities.
To ensure performance and compatibility, FUCHS conducts chemical and thermal stability tests (in accordance with ASHRAE 97 standards) and evaluates miscibility and solubility under refrigerant conditions using specialized lab setups. State-of-the-art testing equipment and custom-built rigs allow for wear protection assessments in the presence of dissolved refrigerants. Additionally, high-pressure autoclaves—developed in-house—are used to study the thermal and chemical resilience of refrigerant-oil mixtures, including interactions with system components such as seals and bearing materials.
These proprietary testing methods underpin FUCHS’s deep technical expertise, enabling the development of refrigeration oils precisely matched to specific refrigerants, compressors, and systems—often in close collaboration with customers. As the European F-Gas Regulation (EU 517/2014) drives the phase-out of high-GWP refrigerants, FUCHS stands out as a reliable and forward-thinking partner in refrigeration technology.
Beyond expert application support, FUCHS also provides detailed technical documentation on RENISO products upon request. This includes data on refrigerant compatibility, solubility, viscosity behavior, and chemical-thermal stability. Numerous approvals and reference cases from leading compressor and equipment manufacturers further validate the performance and reliability of RENISO refrigeration oils.
