RENISO LPG 68

Description

In times of climate protection the use of natural refrigerants and thus also the use of hydrocarbons such as propane R290, propylene R1170 or isobutane R600a is becoming increasingly important. Hydrocarbon refrigerants require special refrigeration oils with reduced refrigerant solubility and dilution. Reniso LPG 68 was specially developed for this application. Reniso LPG 68 is based on a special synthetic PAG fluid. When selecting the base fluid, emphasis was placed on reduced hydrocarbon solubility and lowest possible dilution under the influence of refrigerant. Advanced additive technology ensures high ageing and thermal stability, reliable wear protection and reduced foam tendency. Especially the supression of oil foaming caused by pressure reduction is an important criteria for reliable wear protection of the compressor parts. Reniso LPG 68 has excellent miscibility behavior with hydrocarbon refrigerants. Reniso LPG 68 guarantees safe oil transport and undisturbed heat transfer in the circuit. Reniso LPG 68 is also suitable for ammonia refrigeration systems.

Application

Reniso LPG 68 is suitable as refrigeration oil for all hydrocarbon refrigerants such as propane R290, propylene R1170 or isobutane/butane R600a/R600. In addition, Reniso LPG 68 can also be used as a refrigeration oil for ammonia systems. Refrigerant compressors, e.g. piston, screw and scroll compressors can be reliably lubricated with Reniso LPG 68. Reniso LPG 68 can be used in refrigeration and air conditioning applications as well as in heat pumps. The Reniso LPG 68 can also be recommended for the compression and transport of natural gas and other hydrocarbon gas mixtures.

Advantages

  • Good miscibility with hydrocarbon refrigerants, as e.g. propane
  • Reduced refrigerant solubility and thus lower dilution and lower viscosity loss
  • Excellent foaming behaviour during outgassing hydrocarbon refrigerants.
  • Reliable wear protection
  • Excellent ageing and oxidation stability
  • Very high thermal stability
