MOLYPAUL 750

Release and lubricant coating for casting molds

Performance Features

  • high release effect
  • good adhesion metals
  • high thermal stability
  • supports the starting process in continuous casting
  • sprayable ready-for-use dispersion
  • harmless in use

Description

MOLYPAUL 750 is a sprayable aqueous ready-for-use dispersion for the use as a high-temperature dry-film casting release agent as well as a sealing and lubricating agent. MOLYPAUL 750 includes a combination of solid lubricants and an especially adapted additive package reducing graphite oxidation at high temperatures. MOLYPAUL 750 is free of mineral oil. It does not release any fumes when heated and is harmless in use.

Field of application

MOLYPAUL 750 is primarily used as a casting release agent by direct application to the inner surfaces of the casting mold. MOLYPAUL 750 forms a continuous dry film on the surface which reduces friction. MOLYPAUL 750 is used as a starting aid for the dummy bar in continuous casting.

Method of application

MOLYPAUL 750 may be used on all metal surfaces. Dust and dirt should be removed prior to its application. MOLYPAUL 750 was designed for spray application, but may also be applied by brush or roller. Coating thickness should range between 100 and 200 microns.
