VITROLIS DL WG
Scoop / Gob Accelerator Lubricant
Advantages/Benefits
- A water based fluid that greatly reduces the risk of fires associated with conventional mineral oil based products
- Readily atomises producing micro fine mist spray giving excellent wetting out, essential for optimum gob acceleration and gob loading performance, particularly where very limited clearances are being employed
- Extremely low levels of soft carbon residue formation enables extension of normal maintenance schedules
- Users report the potential to reduce application rates, enhancing the low residue forming characteristics and offering economies of use
- Being inherently biodegradable, the product offers distinct environmental advantages compared to mineral oil based formulations
Description
VITROLIS DL WG represents a most significant enhancement in the technology of scoop/gob accelerator lubrication – offering outstanding benefits in terms of Health & Safety/Environmental features.
Historically these products have been formulated on mineral oil based technology. Initially conventional mineral oils/hydraulic fluids were used which formed high carbon/ash type deposits. Latterly these have been replaced with very highly refined products which are completely ash free and have very low carbon forming tendencies.
Both these technologies suffer from the inherent disadvantage that, at high glass gob temperatures of up to 1000ºC, they are inherently flammable.
VITROLIS DL WG is an aqueous based fully synthetic, (mineral oil free), scoop/gob accelerator lubricant. Extensive field trials have shown it to posses all the desired characteristics of these fluids in terms of gob loading, acceleration and low deposit formation.
Being aqueous based the product has no flash point and therefore greatly reduces the risk of fires associated with the use of conventional mineral oil based products.
Storage
Drums should be stored on their sides in a clean, dry place and protected from extremes of temperature.
