A feature of the new net zero carbon FUCHS head office in Isando is that double pipe plumbing allows grey water to be used in the washrooms. The FUCHS Lola team was looking forward to racing the overseas ISPs (International Sports Prototypes) that had arrived, including Ford GT 40s, Porsche 917s, McLarens and Chevrons. Now it was a question of whether we would be competitive against these teams as well as the local competition.
