GLEITMO HMP CLEANER

Cleaner for dry GLEITMO HMP films

Performance Features

  • excellent cleaning effect
  • short soak time
  • simple application
  • economical to use
  • ready-to-use
  • dilutable with tap water if necessary

Description

GLEITMO HMP CLEANER is an aqueous lkaline cleaner for removing dry GLEITMO HMP (high-molecular polymer) films on coated substrates and coating equipment.

Field of application

GLEITMO HMP CLEANER is particularly suitable for the removal of dry coatings of GLEITMO 605. In addition to this, however, all other GLEITMO HMP films can easily be removed with it (Exception GLEITMO 603).

Application

A short soak time of approx. 1-2 minutes is sufficient to remove dry GLEITMO HMP films. Both dipping of the substrate as well as simply spraying or brushing it on bring about the desired dissolvent effect. After the soak time a good rinse with water is usually sufficient to remove the HMP film completely. In the case of severe encrustations (e.g. on containers or spraying equipment) mechanical assistance or a second cleaning cycle may possibly be necessary. After filtering off the dirt particles the cleaner can be re-used several times. If the cleaning ability diminishes, partial renewal can sufficiently restore the cleaning ability once more. Where there is a low level of contamination the cleaner can be diluted with tap water up to a mixture ratio of 1:1.

Notes

GLEITMO HMP CLEANER is not suitable for use as a degreasing medium in cleaning baths. At present there is no point at which incompatibilities with galvanised surfaces may be encountered, if the soak time is observed. With corrodible substrates and equipment parts careful drying is necessary following rinsing. In the case of periods of long storage or non-use a corrosion preventive should be applied.Protect from frost! May be stored in sealed containers at room temperature for up to 36 months.
