Grease is a semi-solid lubricant made from base oil + thickener + additives.
Use it when you need long-lasting lubrication, protection against contaminants, resistance to washout, or when an oil system would leak or be impractical.
Match temperature, speed (n·dm), load, water exposure, material compatibility, and relubrication interval.
If in doubt, choose based on: thickener type, base oil viscosity, and NLGI grade - or request a recommendation.
Usually no. Different thickeners can be incompatible, causing softening, hardening, or lubrication failure.
Only mix greases if the compatibility is confirmed (e.g., lithium → lithium complex usually OK; polyurea → usually NOT).

More is NOT better - grease needs space to work.
Modern H1 greases are high-performing and can handle demanding loads and temperatures. The notion that they are “weaker” is outdated.
Usually not advisable - because different applications require different thickeners, viscosities, and additives.
However, a simplified grease strategy with 3-5 key products is ideal.
Use it when you want extra protection under shock loads, slow-moving high-load equipment, oscillating movements, or risk of boundary lubrication.
