GLEITMO 599

Special lubricant for oxygen fittings with the highest pressure resistance

Description

GLEITMO 599 is a high temperature paste for oxygen applications based on a special thickener and perfluoropolyether (PFPE). GLEITMO 599 is characterised by ageing resistance, corrosion and wear protection as well as resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents. A batch-related test report for oxygen applications in accordance with the standard is available on request.

The operating temperature range of GLEITMO 599 is -40 to +160 °C.

Application

  • GLEITMO 599 was specifically developed for the following application(s):
  • Oxygen fittings
  • GLEITMO 599 can also be used for the following application(s) / function(s):
  • Lubrication points exposed to aggressive chemicals and gases

Advantages

  • Excellent low temperature properties
  • Low friction coefficients
  • Excellent resistance to gaseous and liquid oxygen
  • Very good plastic and elastomer compatibility

Storage Conditions

The minimum shelf life is 60 months if the product is properly stored between 0 °C and 40 °C in its unopened original container in a dry place. The indication of a minimum shelf life does not include any guarantee of durability.

Notes

Safety and disposal instructions can be found in the current safety data sheet. GLEITMO 599 is not miscible or compatible with greases based on other base oils and thickeners! Before applying the lubricant, the surfaces must be free of oil and grease. We recommend pretreating the surfaces with METABLANC PFPE as a cleaner. Never expose GLEITMO 599 to temperatures above 180 °C, otherwise harmful vapors will form as a result to thermal decomposition! GLEITMO 599 is not suitable for perfluorinated rubbers!
