Dry solid film lubricant
Description
GLEITMO 605 is a dispersion of high molecular weight polymers in water. GLEITMO 605 is designed to achieve defined coefficients of friction on screws in accordance with the guidelines of the automotive industry (VDA).
Application
GLEITMO 605 is primarily used for the lubrication of fasteners such as nuts, metric screws, chipboard screws, sheet metal screws, clamping screws, union nuts for cutting ring fittings, etc. GLEITMO 605 can be diluted with water (soft tap water or deionised water) as required. Usually GLEITMO 605 is used in a dilution ratio of 1 : 3 (centrifuge coating, high requirements) to approx. 1 : 7 (dip coating). Water is added to GLEITMO 605 while stirring. The parts to be coated must be clean and free of grease. The drum and centrifuge systems commonly used in galvanizing plants are suitable for coating larger quantities. It is recommended to dry the parts after coating by applying heat (up to approx. 80°C part temperature). Coated parts should only be packed when absolutely dry.
