STERNWAY 460
STERNWAY 460 is based on mineral oil and is for lubricating propeller shaft casings and propeller hubs. The product is specially designed for applications where an emulsifiable oil is required.
Application areas
STERNWAY 460 is designed for the lubrication of propeller shaft casings and hubs. The product is emulsifiable, which helps to protect parts from corrosion and wear even if water leaks in. STERNWAY 460 can also help to seal worn parts and reduce oil leaks after high wear. The product can also be used in emergency situations to thicken thinner oil in order to minimise leakage at points such as damaged seals.
Characteristics and advantages
STERNWAY 460 is compatible with commonly occurring sealing materials, and has very good corrosion-inhibiting properties. STERNWAY 460 also contains additives for counteracting oxidation and foaming. STERNWAY 460 forms a stable emulsion with water, which maintains a lubricating film and contributes to good lubrication in general. The properties of STERNWAY 460 contribute to reliable operation and extended engine life.
