HYDROTHERM 42 HFC
Description
HYDROTHERM 42 HFC is a newly developed high performance, fire-resistant hydraulic fluid of the type HFC 46 in accordance with ISO 12922 based on modern polymer and additive technology. The requirements of VDMA 24317 for HFC fluids are also met. HYDROTHERM 42 HFC has very good fire resistancy properties and excellent technical performance - combined with good biodegradability. HYDROTHERM 42 HFC is an aqueous polymer solution that has a water content of > 40%. The fluid is free of zinc and ash and free of hazardous ingredients. HYDROTHERM 42 HFC can be used in mobile and stationary hydraulic systems. HYDROTHERM 42 HFC can be used in the steel industry (rolling mills), the aluminium industry, and the die-casting industry as fire-resistant HFC hydraulic fluids. HYDROTHERM 42 HFC can also be used in mining applications, in die-casting machines, and in hydraulic systems. HYDROTHERM 42 HFC is an alternative to mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids to minimise the risk of fire. The product should be used in a suitable temperature window to avoid evaporation losses in hydraulic systems at high temperatures. Technical recommendations for the use of HFC water-glycol fluids in hydraulic systems can be found in the relevant fluid specifications. HYDROTHERM 42 HFC meets the requirements of the 7th Luxembourg Report.
