FRICOFIN LD 50
Description
FRICOFIN LD 50 is a coolant Ready-Mix based on monoethylene glycol and demineralized water for commercial vehicles, passenger cars and stationary engines. As premixed X-OAT coolant it provides a stable inhibitor system based on organic acids (OAT) for maximum drain intervals and a small concentration of inorganic inhibitors (X) to excellerate the performance. FRICOFIN LD 50 is free of nitrites, borates, silicates, and phosphates.
Application
FRICOFIN LD 50 is excellent for use where a coolant with OAT technology is required. Suitable for use in various internal combustion engines and also suitable to use for indirect cooling of Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in automotive and heavy-duty applications if there is no requirement on electrical conductivity. FRICOFIN LD 50 is a 50 vol% mixture with water and the concentrate of FRICOFIN LD. FRICOFIN LD 50 can be used directly in the cooling system without further dilution. Always observe the manufacturers recommendations when mixing with other coolants. Manufacturers’ drain intervals and recommendations about the concentration are mandatory. As with all coolants, even with FRICOFIN LD 50 , the use of galvanized components in cooling circuits and as a part of storage or mixing installation (e.g. for pipes) should be avoided. For information on product safety and proper disposal please refer to the latest Material Safety Data Sheet.
Advantages
▪ Ready for use, mixed with demineralised water - no additional dilution required.
▪ Superior protection against freezing and overheating.
▪ Compatible with seals, plastics and non-ferrous metals.
▪ Contains bittering agent to prevent swallowing.
▪ Excellent long-lasting protection against deposits, cavitation and corrosion in engines and coolers.
▪ Suitable for the longest oil drain intervals.
▪ Successfully tested for Heavy Duty applications without requiring an initial filling of Supplement Coolant Additive (SCA).
▪ Greatly reduces the risk of deposits.
▪ Contains a special additive to compensate for flux contamination from the CAB (Controlled Atmosphere Brazing) process.
