FLC receives FM approvals for both RENOSAFE FIREPROTECT 68 FAM and PLANTOFLUX FR 68 HOC
The intensive and lengthy approval process ensures that both products meet the rigorous loss prevention standards of quality, technical integrity, and performance as set by FM Approvals.
RENOSAFE FIREPROTECT 68 FAM and PLANTOFLUX FR 68 HOC are fire-resistant hydraulic fluids, ISO 12922 category HFDU, based on special synthetic esters and high oleic natural esters respectively that were carefully selected for their high purity. Both products were formulated using new global advanced zinc and ash-free additive technology. This new technology provides improved oxidation, thermal, and hydrolytic stability for a longer service interval compared to previous generations and existing products in the market while also maintaining best in class standards for robust and stable anti-wear and extreme pressure performance, rust and corrosion protection, rapid air release, and low foaming behavior for higher equipment reliability and operator acceptance.
RENOSAFE FIREPROTECT 68 FAM and PLANTOFLUX FR 68 HOC have higher flammability temperatures and higher auto-ignition temperatures in comparison to mineral based hydraulic fluids. Flammability tests, run with both pressurized and non-pressurized fluid – in accordance to ISO specification 12922, group HFDU – demonstrate that these fluids also significantly reduce the risk of violent explosion or combustion upon contact with open flames or hot metal surfaces in comparison to mineral based products.
As part of FUCHS’ sustainability commitment, both RENOSAFE FIREPROTECT 68 FAM and PLANTOFLUX FR 68 HOC are non-hazardous, non-toxic, rapidly biodegradable (> 60% according to OECD 301 B), and heavy metal free. In addition, PLANTOFLUX FR 68 HOC uses high oleic sunflower oil as its base which is considered renewable resource.
