THERMISOL 1032
Recommended for Fast Quenching Operations
Description
THERMISOL 1032 is recommended for fast quenching operations. It provides the same long life and operating temperature flexibility as the rest of the THERMISOL series. It also includes a self-cleaning agent which carries degradation particles to system filters for prompt removal. This minimizes any need for cleanouts of sludge from the bottom of bath reservoirs to save down time and labor.
Advantages
- Makes possible the hardening of lower cost (i.e. lower hardenability; lean alloys) steels
- Provides the maximum possible physicals to steel that cannot be sufficiently hardened by conventional quenching oils
- Permits the operation of the quenching bath at 190°F for the cooling of shapes of variable or non uniform thickness, thereby lessening the danger of distortion and stress cracks. This can be done without the sludging and oxidation problem ordinarily encountered at these temperatures
- Yields a high surface brightness and freedom from hard-to-remove stains on quenched parts
- Exhibits fast oil runoff, lessening drag-out losses
- Allows uniform hardness of parts in tightly packed baskets
Industries
- Metal processing
The information shown on this side is based on the experience and expertise of the FUCHS Group in the development and manufacture of lubricants and represents the current state of the art. The performance of our products can be influenced by a series of factors, especially the specific use, the method of application, the operational environment, component pretreatment, possible external contamination, etc. For this reason, universally valid statements about the function of our products are not possible.
