Description
RENOFORM EXT 8022 is a heavy duty, extreme pressure (EP) cold extrusion fluid. It is intended for use in bar and rod drawing and reduction operations but can be used in some cold heading operations. RENOFORM EXT 8022 provides excellent EP lubrication to prolong tool life and eliminate metal pick-up on dies, die rings and punches. It has shown success in replacing lime baths and related pre-lube coatings. RENOFORM EXT 8022 provides good interim anti-corrosion protection and can reduce staining. It has a light color and low odor. It handles high temperatures without oxidizing or creating significant smoke.
Application
RENOFORM EXT 8022 is used undiluted as received. It can be applied by sprayers, roller, dip, or flood and performs effectively in recycling systems. The product should be stored in its original sealed container between 450 - 900 F. Safety data sheets are available. Before handling, read the product information and safety data sheets for proper handling and health hazard information. RENOFORM EXT 8022 is readily cleaned from work-pieces with mild to moderately alkaline cleaner solutions. Best results are usually obtained with heated solutions.
