Description
ANTICORIT AQ 1961 is a synthetic corrosion inhibitor that has been designed for use on ferrous metals where a dry film is required, but this dry film must provide robust corrosion protection. This product has been formulated to be used in a wide variety of applications such as an in-process rust inhibitor, a final rust preventative rinse in a washer, leak testing fluid, grinding coolant, and sump side additive for most synthetic coolants and liquid alkaline cleaners.
ANTICORIT AQ 1961 will leave a transparent film that is non-oily and non-tacky. The film may be welded through and painted over. ANTICORIT AQ 1961 is also very economical due to the concentrations required for robust rust protection.
ANTICORIT AQ 1961 is especially good as a rust preventative over porous surface such as forgings and castings.
Application
In applications where residual films of ANTICORIT AQ 1961 are in contact with the refrigerants, used in air-conditions or refrigerant systems, the concentration of this rust preventative should not exceed 3% v/v.
