Mould Swabbing Compound
Description
VITROLIS MM PREMIUM LIGHT is semi fluid, high lubricity swabbing compound. With sophisticated lubrication technology including graphite, high performance surface active additives and wetting agents. A powerful combination providing excellent release characteristics and cleanliness.
Specifically designed for premium glassware production where a high quality finish and container cleanliness is of paramount importance.
Designed to meet the cross functional demands of glassware manufacture - VITROLIS MM PREMIUM LIGHT is a multipurpose lubricant that can be used on various surfaces including moulds, baffles, bottom plates and neck-rings (operational parameters dependent).
Advantages/Benefits
- High lubricity and release properties gives a notable improvement in the visual clarity of containers; producing a bright and lustrous finish to the glassware
- Generates lower levels of fumes and odor compared to conventional products
- Excellent wettability and dispersant properties provides a consistent film thickness resulting in reduced levels of glassware defects
- Lower swabbing frequencies and application rates extend the blanks production life, thereby reducing the number of required component changes
- Dry swabbing preference, extended doping cycles, high quality finish and improved lubrication combine to lessen operator exposure to risk, reduce lubricant usage and maximize production efficiency
Application
This universal grade covers a broad range of glassware types, including beer, wine and spirit bottles, as well as pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food containers. The product can be used on BB, PB and NNPB operations on a range of colored and flint glassware with medium to heavy gob weights.
