RENOCLEAN EC 50

Solvent Emulsion Cleaner

Description

RENOCLEAN EC 50 is a solvent emulsion cleaner intended for removing coolants, cutting oils, metal chips and other shop soils from steel, cast iron, aluminum and zinc in spray or immersion equipment.

RENOCLEAN EC 50 contains a solvent to enhance cleaning ability and, when not rinsed, it leaves a barrier film on processed parts to provide excellent “in process” corrosion protection.

RENOCLEAN EC 50 will tend to emulsify oils and greases. If residue from these types of materials becomes excessive, the parts may be rinsed to remove it. Note: rinsed, parts lose rust protection. If contamination is severe the bath should be dumped and recharged.

Application

Mild steel is suitable for tanks, spray and heating equipment.

How to Use

Spray or agitated immersion application:

Concentration - 5-10%

Application Temp.  100°F to 130°F

Advantages

  • Versatile Cleaner
  • Excellent “in process” corrosion protection
  • Removes a wide variety of metalworking soils
  • Removes many soils/ Safe on many metals
  • Reduced rejects

Concentration Determination

Concentrations of RENOCLEAN EC 50 are easily measured using a refractometer or a laboratory acid split procedure. Note: Emulsified soils may indicate a higher concentration than actual.

A refractometer chart and the laboratory acid split procedure are available from your local FUCHS representative.
