RENOLIT KT 245 L
Non-asphaltic wire rope production lubricant
Performance Features
- Self-healing film
- Excellent low temperature performance
- Excellent wear protection
Description
RENOLIT KT 245 L is a non-asphaltic, amber colored, non-staining, general purpose wire rope compound containing additives to improve corrosion and wear resistance. This lubricant is made to a penetration that provides a self-healing character to its film in addition to excellent low temperature flex properties, making it a particularly versatile wire rope lubricant appropriate for a variety of crane ropes (including rotation resistant), mining hoist ropes, shovel ropes, etc. RENOLIT KT 245 L is not recommended for oil field ropes (or high speed ropes operating in warm climates) or submerged ropes where wave action can strip the film.
RENOLIT KT 245/L is normally applied at 180-200°F. The product can be applied by various methods, most typically in a “flood” application, during stranding or closing.
