ANTICORIT PL 45A
Sustainable Pre-Lube and Forming Lubricant for Aluminum
Description
ANTICORIT PL 45A is an oil-soluble, petroleum-free forming lubricant. It is designed for application to aluminum coils as a prelube to provide excellent lubricity in forming operations. It can also be applied at the stamping press site via blankwash systems, spray, or rollers as a stamping lubricant on aluminum or steel. ANTICORIT PL 45A is especially designed for use in forming Class A body-in-white and closure auto body components. In many operations it performs as well as hot-melt lubricants, but does not build up in dies or require signficant heat to clean. It contains no wax or petroleum and is composed entirely of renewable ingredients. ANTICORIT PL 45A is compatible with most auto pretreatment and paint systems and with adhesives and sealers.
Advantages
- Excellent lubricity, especially on aluminum
- Easy to clean at low temperatures
- No waxy buildup in press dies
- Comprised of renewable ingredients
How to Use
ANTICORIT PL 45A is used undiluted and can be applied via electrostatic applicators. In such applicators, heating the lubricant between 100 oF and 140 oF (40 oC and 60 oC) can improve coating uniformity. Do not heat above 180 oF (83 oC). Typical coating weight is 0.5 – 1.2 g/m2. It can also be applied by spray or rollers at the press site at ambient temperatures.
How to Clean
Residual films are easily cleaned from parts with aqueous cleaners. Your local FUCHS representative can recommend products for such operations.
